So lately we've been getting a lot of pressure from people wanting to know what we're up to, when we're playing more shows, why we've been so quiet, who's actually in Vose these days, etc,.

First things first -
Who is actually in Vose?
Great question! It seems as if Vose has become a collaboration of a group of people that come and go as they please. We love to collaborate with people, but we do have a set line-up. We have officially parted ways with Jimi McCullian on good terms so he could persue his other musical venture, "We Are! The New Year". We wish him the best of luck. We actually got to preview their upcoming album and it sounds amazing!
With that said, in February we officially welcomed long time friend and collaborator Eric Reilly to the band. Eric is a great guitarist, song-writer, vocalist and an overall awesome person that we are very happy and lucky to have in the band. We're super excited to be knee deep in the writing process with him now.
As for the rest of the band, it's the same old boys - Rob, Jeff, Steve (now playing bass and damn good at it) and Ian (playing drums and also damn good at it). Next question!
You've been awfully quiet since your last show. What has Vose been up to?
Yes we have. We've been fully immersed in the writing process over the last month or so. During the small bunch of shows we recently played, we previewed the song "Truth" - one of many that we have been working on since July '10. We've actually been working really hard to put together a new full length. We're really excited because we think it is some of the best music we've ever written and we can't wait to share it with you.
We have about 5 songs that are ready to be demoed and we'll be sharing clips throughout the summer to get you pumped for the new album. As of now, we haven't put a release date or timeframe on the new CD, but we assure you that we're working as hard and fast as we can to get it out.
That's awesome! When will Vose be playing some shows again?
Like we mentioned earlier, we've been working REALLY hard on new stuff. Writing and playing shows is an exhausting process! But we need to take a little break...
Some of you may already know that we're going to be taking some time off this summer to welcome two new members into the Vose family. We will be taking a few months off because Rob and his wife, Alexis, are expecting a new addition to their family - Alexander Vose Harvey. Also, Ian and his wife, Jen, are expecting a new addition to their family as well! Two new little Vose fans that we hope you will warmly welcome to the world of rock 'n roll! We're super excited for the Harvey and Davison families. Congrats!
We're not putting a concrete date on a "come back", but we are tenatively shooting for late fall/early winter. In the meantime, we're going to continue the writing process when we can, enjoy time with friends and family, play a few acoustic gigs and share loads of digital goodies that we've been saving for you. We promise things will be well worth the wait.
We thank you so much for all the support you've always shown us. We love writing and playing music for you and we really appreciate your patience while we take this time off for our families. We promise we'll stay in touch A LOT this summer. We sincerely hope that you continue listening and sharing Vose with your friends and family. We will gladly give you any music you'd like for FREE!
